Through the eyes of a child

One of the faculty here at work has a very talented ten year old. Jonas began taking pictures at the age of seven and won a state competition for grades K - 6th. He is still taking pictures and has published two picture books. All the proceeds from the books go to benefit Sacred Heart Children's Hospital here in Spokane. Take a look at:

SNOW

Like the snow? We had 60 inches last month (all still here) and it
snowed on New Year Day and today (1/2/09). More snow scheduled for
Sunday and again on Monday night. I've been working from home a lot
because school is not in session and the roads have been scary. It has
been 3 weeks since we have had a garbage pickup. Thankfully it is cold
enough that nothing smells. It is difficult to drive around our
neighborhood because we have only been snowplowed once in all this.

Every single day when I see the additional snow I think "boy wait till I tell Mom, she isn't going to believe it!"

Stephen
fell off his mom's roof yesterday (5' of snow on a roof is getting to
the point where roofs are falling in all over Spokane). He went off
like he was trying to fly like superman. The snow is so deep, the only
thing hurt was his pride!

We had 60 inches of snow last Jan
& Feb, then 60" in December so we decided if we are going to get 10
feet of snow a year, we better find something fun to do in it, so we
ordered some snow shoes on line for the three of us. (All the stores
are sold out).

I tried Jessie's out yesterday and I think it will at least help me get to the mailbox even if I'm not in the mood for trecking around the backyard or the neighborhood.

We have 5 ski resorts within 2 hour drive, so the skiers are VERY happy.

When I figure out how to post a picture (maybe this weekend?) I'll post some of our house with the snow.
